Weekend goodness :)

Weston came and spent the weekend up here in Bear Lake, and guess what? We didn't go to the Lake once. Not ONCE! Instead we went to... Bloomington Lake!
That's right, we stretched our little leggies on a hike that was longer yet shorter than I remember it being, and enjoyed the beauty and memories (on my part) of that beautiful part of the country.

We pretty much had the entire lake to ourselves and swung out on the rope to our heart's content... ok... twice, dove off the big rock, and looked dorky in our scuba mask as we explored the underworld of the lake.

I found a toy car and got attacked by a fish. Ok, ok not really, but when I looked up from digging the car out of the muddy bottom of the lake, the little trouty trout was right in front of my face. Yes, I screamed underwater. No, I did not swallow anything.

I recommend we all go again together!!! Who volunteers to bring sleds so we can slide down the snow into the lake!?!?!

But before the lake we saw this...

I thought it was cute!!!

Our new additions...

Welcome to your new home Peaches & Cream!!

I'll admit asking Anthony for permission to get Dwarf Hamsters would have been the better option... but he's warming up to them now. He even told them good morning and watched them play for a while today. Plus, they were free, what's better than that?!!?!?

I'm not much of a rodent for pet kind of girl, but they're so stinking cute!! When they sit down they look like cotton balls! Yes, their red eyes are kind of creepy... but watching them run on the wheel together and watching them crawl up and down the tube, and cuddle in their cozy toilet paper bed is SO cute!!

I feel kind of lame even saying this... but I'll post more pictures & video soon :)

Thank you Jen, Kayla & Chris!!

UFOC 2010

Here are some photos Anthony has text me this summer during Utah Festival Opera Company (UFOC) rehearsals.

Does it really look that real?

Today I was wearing a fake flower clip in my that Rebecca L. made, it's actually really cute. I was at my SW practicum and felt something tickling in my hair. I reached up but didn't feel anything. A few minutes later I felt the tickle again. Thinking some hair must be stuck in the clip or something I reached back into the flower to fix the problem.... and felt little legs brush over my finger. I freaked out and started shaking my hand like mad thinking a spider was in my hair. I asked Joyce, the other Social Worker, if there was a bug in my hair and after a thorough flinging and shaking of my hair the search was deemed inconclusive... then I saw it.
A big freaking BEE on the floor near us. A BEE!! I couldn't even believe it.
I called Rebecca L. right away to let her know that she did a good job making her flowers... the bees thought they were real.

Lots of Goings Ons

It's been a busy few weeks. My best friend Carrie got married (yes, I may have sobbed my eyes out about it), which was really good!!! It's a good thing I decided to like her husband :) I got to see a few friends from the mission at her reception, and reaffirm my status as "sister" in her family. I swear, they're all training me for marriage.

I also had dinner with Charity, my other best friend, at Rodizio Grill which was sooo good! I at qual egg and chicken hearts... surprisingly it was really good.

Sandy's family also came up for the weekend and it was super good to reconnect with Alisha, Liz and Jess. It was just like old times, only with Corey and Tiff and Frank added in :) We spent lots of time at the campfire singing little songs like "baby shark". I'll add it sometime.

And the other thing that happened... I got in a relationship. That's right, me. Afraid of commitment, run the other direction as soon as a boy who lives in the same state, the same country, or goes to the same school, shows interest in me. Yeah. July 3rd I got home to find Weston at my house with these flowers asking me to be his girl. I think I may have taken a step back. I definitely didn't kiss him until later that night. And it took me a whole week to officially say yes. And now... well now my mind is racing. Sheesh I'm like one big butterflied, giggly mess. Kind of sickening really.

Baby Shark

Yeah... we ARE awesome and you know you wish you had been here!

Blondes DO have more fun!

My mission president's homecoming was this sunday. I can't believe I've been home for 2 years now. Crazy!!! It was like a little mini reunion... or Zone conference... except none of the sisters wore baggy clothes and ugly shoes, and we could hug the elders.

You see this? This is a 4 generation photo. My trainer, me, my bean, and my bean's bean. Isn't that precious!?
